Chris Wright is a good quality, professional radio presenter who can adapt to different working environments and different on air styles. This is evident by the variety of stations Chris has worked with over the last 15 years including Gold UK Radio Network, Heart South Coast, Newbury Sound, Ocean FM and Original 106. Chris has a passion for music, particularly the retro stuff from the 80s but is also a big fan of Motown, 50s/60s Rock and Roll, Easy Listening, Current Pop/Rock and Classical music.
Chris Wright also has experience of speech and topic based radio which is evident on his current work at Newbury Sound where his breakfast show includes interviewing local people about local issues and stories. Chris also gets to meet local people away from the studio as part of the very successful Newbury Sound Apprentice series. Chris is no stranger to speech and topic based shows having previously presented Drivetime on Original 106 where his regular guests were ITV Meridian's Fred Dinenage and Debbie Thrower! Gaining a thirst for speech and topic related shows led Chris to BBC Radio Solent, presenting a pilot for their drivetime show. Chris is also an adaptable presenter having gained much of his experience working on music based daytime shows including Heart, 2CR-FM and Ocean FM. Chris is as comfortable playing music as he is talking to local people about local charity initiatives.
Off air, Chris has a wealth of experience of how a radio station functions and what makes good radio. He knows what goes on behind the scenes particularly within music programming, creating radio features, music scheduling, compilation and research of music based features. He also has experience of being website coordinator, producing interviews for broadcast and even compiling PRS returns. Additionally, Chris has worked in radio marketing, promotions, news and even attempting radio sales.
Chris has good working knowledge of RCS Master Control, Genesys, Myriad BCX, ENCO, Adobe Audition, Brian Editor, Burli, Preco, Natural Music, Powergold and Selector.
